The total profit of China's printing industry increased by 3.2% year-on-year from Jan. - Aug. 2021

From January to August 2021, the industrial added value of all industries in China (enterprises above designated size) increased by 13.1% year-on-year, with an average increase of 6.6% in two years. Judging from the growth rate of the month, in August, the industrial added value of all industries (enterprises above designated size) increased by 5.3% year-on-year, which was 1.1 percentage points lower than that in July. The added value of 34 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth.

 

From January to August 2021, the industrial added value of the "printing and recording media reproduction industry" increased by 15.3% year-on-year, which was higher than the average level of 13.1% for all industries. Judging from the growth rate of the month, the industrial added value growth rate of the printing industry in August was 9.6%, an increase of 1.8 percentage points from July, and the growth trend was better than the average level of all industries.

 

From January to August 2021, enterprises above designated size in the printing industry realized operating income, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%. During the same period, all enterprises above the industrial scale achieved operating income, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%. The production and sales of the printing industry continued to recover compared with the same period last year, but the growth rate was lower than the national industrial average.

 

From January to August 2021, the total profits of enterprises above designated size in the printing industry increased by 3.2% year-on-year, which was halved from the 6.4% in January-July. During the same period, the total profits of all enterprises above industrial scale increased by 49.5% year-on-year, with an average increase of 19.5% in two years. Among the 41 major industries, 37 industries achieved a year-on-year increase in total profit, and the profit growth rate of the mining industry and raw material manufacturing industry was high. In the paper industry, which is closely related to the printing industry, the total profit from January to August increased by 45.4% year-on-year, compared with the printing industry's 3.2%, which is a huge contrast.
